The "fleet" - my Speed Yellow 2001 Boxster S and Gold 2003 Pontiac Aztek aka "The Breaking Bad Mobile". The two are about as polar opposite as you can get!

Not on this one, its too original. I would like to make my own 650E using a 124 chassis 300E as a base and build a 6.5L engine for it.

Oh I totally understand it, your comments shows exactly who is lacking clarity on what it is all about. Also, when I buy a nice car, I tell exactly no one, except my wife, about it. If someone sees me in it fine, if not, I don't have to tell anyone. Guess it is just the way I was raised.

I have only 2 cars, but wondered what folks do about car insurance when they have many cars.

Does the rate go down the more cars you have, because in theory you can only be driving 1 car at a time, or are you paying full rate for each car, or do you take them off and on full insurance because you have one for each season?

I got your point the first time you made it. Of course I was raised to keep my negative opinions to myself! HA- just giving you a bad time in hopes you lighten up and enjoy the pictures.

By the way- how much is in your 401k?

How does the frs compare to a clean 03 or newer boxster S since we are talking similar money, they really need a comparison.

I live in the inner city where most of the houses are cica 1850-1890. 80% of the folks in my neighborhood do not even have garages. Strictly on the street parking. I am lucky enough to have an old converted stable/carriage house that serves as a single car garage. So, the 986 goes in the "garage." The wife's 2013 VW Tiguan and my company provided 2011 Chevy Traverse go out on the street.

It's my housemate's car. Fun to drive (even though it's an auto, he wasn't too picky for a commuter).

Garage
Mazda CX-5 (the responsible vehicle) - at least it's red

'09 Cadillac CTS (wifey's, has do not touch all over it)

In the garage, but technically, for the winter, in the shed:
'97 Triumph Trophy (may need to go, but I don't want it to)
'10 Ducati Multistrada (acceleration will never be the same)

And up north, another triple - 2000 Yamaha Wave Runner - my champion gas sucking device (rated at 60 litres in 75 minutes!).

Love that you have kept is original. Give me a call when you decide to get rid of it!

Uh, huh. Last I checked this is a car forum. I think the participation alone says it all my lonely friend. Please enjoy, as I am having a blast with the fellow enthusiast!

You are absolutely correct! Anything in your garage is fair game!

With my insurance carrier, cars are rated on commute/mileage or leisure/mileage. I have my truck and my wifes Mini on commute, and the rest are leisure. And yes, the theory is you can only drive one at a time using with the law of averages for mileage.

A photo of the 1850-1890 house would be pretty cool.
