2000 Boxster No Start
Purchased a low mileage used Boxster approximately 2 months ago. Car has been running fine and enjoyed a nice top down drive to work here in Nor Cal. Come out from work and attempt to start car. Starter turned over as usual and engine seemed like it bogged down, stepped on gas to try and catch the start but engine died. Starter turns over fine but engine would not catch. Immediately checked corresponding and associated fuses...fuel pump, alarm etc; and all looked fine. All other electrics work fine but engine simply will not catch. No check engine light either.
I have a Durametric Pro and will see if there are any faults but there is no check engine light. Think gas gauge is good...have run it down close to empty a few times but never really close and gauge does not seem like it is hanging.
Just wondering what everyone's thoughts might be? Fuel pump? Clogged fuel line? If immobilizer is engaged, would the starter turn over and the engine just not start? Ignition switch seems to be looser then it was, for some reason, in position 2 and 3. Have two keys and neither allowed engine to engage
Thinking I will disconnect and connect battery in morning and see if something just needs to be reset, check for fault codes, and if I still can't find the culprit, then tow off to Porsche dealer... :-(
