I've only got off a ticket once, it was down pouring on the highway and I was riding my motorcycle.

I have Illinois Police Association plates on my old car that I'll be transferring to my Porsche once I register it, but I'm not actually associated with the police (but I have been paying for the plate for a few years now at least)

p.s. I actually am a Vietnam vet

I was 17 & it was my 1st weekend home after graduating USMC bootcamp. I was in my 1st car, 1971 Firebird Formula455, floored it coming up the highway on ramp. Hit 100mph as I passed a white dodge sedan, glanced over & saw the state game warden logo on the door. Figured it was to late to change course so I continued up to 115. He followed me, I got about 6 miles down the road, took my exit & got stuck at the traffic light. He caught up there & had a blue light on his dash. He called a city cop who wrote me the cheapest citation I ever got. $38. Good thing I was in uniform!

Yeah, buddy!
If it weren't for that game warden being involved, gotta believe you gotten off with a warning. $38.00 ticket? Next best thing.
