Crossing a puddle or gutter with water

Slow or fast? Obviously thinnest point.

Thoughts? Techniques?

Tip-toe, you don't want to blast water into the radiator intakes.

If it needs a wash, just go through it at speed
If was just washed, get out, throw my trench coat over the puddle, drive over the coat, head to the coat store for another trench coat

Hmm, what about a puddle in the parking lot of the coat store? It would create an endless loop that would be pretty profitable...

Don't drive in the rain, or even chance of rain. Come on man!

Got the Box out yesterday to stretch out her legs after 4 weeks of storage. I only drove within my little development (all of 3 blocks long) because we don't salt our roads.

I came across a stream of water from melted snow running all the way across the road...came to a complete stop and used the neighbors driveway to turn around

I am with Flavor...who would take it out in the rain!! Although I think we have had a total of 5 days of rain in the past 8 months so maybe I am not a great source of input for this...but anyone in SoCal might be able to understand my position.

I've been sworn to secrecy, but a few members say these really help them in wet conditions.

After having just changed the complete exhaust system on a SUV that spent most of its life in Chicago, turn around and drive the other way. If you hit an ocean park, have a beer and enjoy the sunset.
