winter wheel care: P21s gel give it a try

Hadn't used the P21S Gel wheel cleaner in a while and after much rain the Carrera five spokes were filthy. I pulled into the wash-it-yourself coin operated bay and while I waited for my turn I went to the trunk and pullled out the P21s and sprayed all four wheels spreading the gel with a sponge. I also used some on the tires and scrubbed it in with my Meguiar's Gold Class tire brush.
Rinsed off the gel and it the wheels were *CLEAN* as I have ever seen with such little effort. I had to get the long brush out to clean the barrell of the wheel but that didn't take long at all. Dryed the wheels and applied a quick coat of NXT and 1Z on the tires (stuff rocks, nice dark matte finish). Went my usual over board by applying the Michelin Brake Dust Repellent on the front wheels only.

Anyhoo. I really have been taking this P21S for granted. During the winter months I'm going to use it with every wash. Winter is murder on pain finishes.

I bought some of the P21S Gel last week. Haven't used it yet.

Who makes the Z1? And how do you apply it?

How do you apply the Michelin Brake Dust Repellent and where can you buy it?

Sorry for all fo the questions!

Z1 is another name for Einzett which along with P21S can be purchase here:
I usually order the cockpit premium for interior cleaning and the Vinyl and Rubber care for dash and tires.
http://www.drivewerks.com/catalog/shopcart/CARE/POR_CARE_einszt-detail.htm

The Michelin Brake Dust Repellent is simply a foamy spray that is wipe on wipe off I always forget to spray inside the barrell of the wheel with the Michelin...
Haven't looked a the ingredients but I keep a roll of autoshop paper towels (blue) in the trunk and the with a little detailing spray the brake dust wipes right off. A quick wipe of the wheels and quick application of 1Z on the tires always makes the car look like it just came back from the wash. I stopped quick detailing the paint to avoid micro marring unless it to clean off bird droppings.

btw, Klasse VLRP on interior plastic (door sills, center console, rubber seals, etc)My favorite detailing product

This reminds me on the line in the "40 Year Old Virgin"! She asked him, "Do you have protection?" and he responds, "I am affraid of guns!"

Vaseline? bad idea that's gotta attract a ton of dirt, the opposit of a brake dust repellent!
Stick with NXT or the Michelin stuff you can get both at Pepboys, Autozone, etc.
