Black or Red Wheels?
I have two sets of track wheels that I've Plasti-dipped in black so I thought that I'd try the 3rd set in red just to see what it looks like.
Do you prefer Black or Red?

RED. It's actually not bad at all. Matches the rest perfectly
Nice ride btw, that car looks fun

The Red add a "pop" to the appearance.

Either way works, but I prefer the black.
The red rims are a bit busy to my eye.

With all the decalls going on, my vote is for red. No contest really.

Red all day. But to add a bit, why not respray those brake calipers in GOLD?

I would do a light gold metallizer coat over the matte black. against the red calipers It will give your car the JPS Lotus look and match your gold number decals.
As you can see by the video below the end result is absolutely nuts

I'd have to say red in this case.

These are 2001-2003 Boxster wheels;
Front - 17" x 7" ET55 PN 986.362.124.01 with Toyo RA1 235/40/17 (shaved 4/32's)
Rear - 17" x 8.5 ET48 PN 986.362.126.06 with Toyo RAI 255/40/17 (shaved 4/32's)
Some people think that this style Boxster wheel bears some resemblance (however slight) to the older Fuch's style from the 70's.
I like this style quite a bit more than the standard Turbo II wheels (black in top photo).
This is what they look like in OEM finish:
