Suspension overhaul question

How important is it to really replace the nuts and bolts when overhauling your suspension? The pelican book says to replace but why can't they be reused? If it's because of the self-locking compound, why not use loctite?

Part of the reason is due to stress and strain on the metal causing fatigue. Safer to replace an inexpensive nut and bolt.

Nuts and bolts are cheap. Shunting your car down a 400' canyon because a fatigued bolt failed at a critical moment... is expensive.

Hey but now we got Obamacare so you are covered.
