Rear tires

My tire got slashed by a bum tonight...:'(

Luckily my eagle sports are almost ready to be replaced.

I've seen a lot about hankook v12s on here, but my fronts are dz101s. Is it better to match the rear with dz101s? Or are the hankooks so much cheaper (and equivalent in performance) that I should opt for them? I got quoted $370 for two dz101 rears excluding tax; sound normal? Any input is helpful.

Thanks

Well if I'm not going to match tires, then it will be the hankooks, too many good reviews. But if they're the same price as the dz101s...

I'll look up the receipt but it was either tirerack.com or some other online supplier. The price was due to some sort of sale though.

To get the most out of your car it's best to stay within the same tire class with very similar grip levels and wet performance. With DZ101s on the front I would probably choose from these tires:

Putting Hankook V12s on might work fine but I expect them to have a bit more wet and dry grip resulting in a little more understeer while cornering. It will still be safe to drive but you might not enjoy running two different tires.

Here is a tire Rack test video with the V12s:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hankook&tireModel=Ventus+V12+evo+K110

And here is the DZ101 tested:

Well I had to pick from the local supply because I needed to drive the car. So they didn't have the hankooks and I got the dz101s on the back. $392 out the door. If I had more time, I would have ordered online and shopped around a little more.
