Both my Boxsters were Tips ('00,'01s). Fun sure.

As roads got more crowded I realized the days of my Alfas and 914s and other n-speed cars where I was tired and cranky when I got home from work were gone where I lived.

Did I take my TIPs on hundreds of mile trips, carve corners, use the shift buttons, seek out fun roads ... sure did.

Did I use cruise control sometimes on the Interstates. Yep. Did I override it? Yep.

On the way home from work, did I use the buttons? Yes, every day. But not constantly. And I still sought out the fun way home and not the most direct.

But the answer is unique to your location, your plans for the car and your desires. I can't answer it for you.
