Sorry to hop on this thread, but I too need some advice on tires. I just discovered that my Michelin tires are 10 years old and have dry rot.

I know I want to replace with Michelin tires, and really wanted to get Pilot Super Sports. One problem, they do not come in the sizes I have on my 17" wheels, which are 205/50/ZR17 (front) & 255/40/ZR17 (rear). The closest available are 205/45/ZR17 & 245/45/ZR17.

I would really like to replace the wheels with 18" rims, but I can't find any OEM 18" rims that will fit my car. I love the 5-spoke rim, I think they were on 996' cars. All I have been able to find are 18x8 ET50 and 18x10 ET65, and from what I have read I don't think those will fit.

So, back to finding a 17" Michelin tire for my existing rims. Looks like all that is available in my sizes are Pilot Sport A/S 3 or PS2.

Not going to drive the car in the winter. Suggestions please.
