i raced an e36 m3 not sure what year but it was an auto 4dr with my 99 tiptronic in drive to about 100 from 60 and had him about 1ft away from my back bumper

Do not let the HP rating on Boxster fool you. My friend who had a 95 M3 always says my 99 Boxster feels faster,and his is also a manual.
