I gotta tell you I much preferred a wagon/estate/avant/variant than an SUV, however, I needed the 3rd row seat. The only alternative is the E-class wagon with the rear facing 3rd row. It'll be a dream to own one of the ultimate sleeper... the E63 AMG wagon! :dance:

My oldest daughter (8) once told me her preferred order of the rides on the driveway... 1st: the one that the roof goes down, 2nd: the big white car because it's got TV inside (MDX), Last: mom's car (Golf TDI). For me, I just feel very fortunate to get to drive these 3 rides as they are one of the top handling cars of their class.
