The bumperettes stick out, when they stick out they get hit first... paint is not going to crack like that by itself unless the bumperette has been flexed by hitting or nudging something.

I mean I get that, but I'm just trying to figure out how to fix it or at least prevent more chips from falling off until I figure out what to do.
