				Jerry Seinfeld trivia

Posted on other forums by me
99% of Porsche owners I have chatted with are “Seinfeld” (TV show) fans, myself included.

I watched the show when it was on Sunday nights; remember that Jerry when nobody knew whom Jerry Seinfeld was!!!!

Remember the joke about the canary flying into the mirror before the Seinfeld show?
“Jerry, I know you are on this forum somewhere, under an alias that masks your identity, so beware brother and read what other Porsche owners have to say! To me, you are a hero slash superman, I have watched all your episodes and even bought your CD’s!”
To non-believers, Jerry owns > 20 Porsches, according to rags we read, so this is a perfect forum to engage in Seinfeld trivia.
If nobody cares about this trivia, just let this thread die a natural death, will not hurt my feelings? (maybe Jerry's...probably not )
So who wants to go first? I will kick anyone’s butt with the Seinfeld trivia.

Come on, who's first???????????????????????

Funny, I never watched the show but one day I met the soup Nazi at an airport here in Ohio. Long boring story, but anyway the person that introduced us had to tell me who he was, Sorry Soup Nazi lol.

For "ASSMAN" it was the picture of the boat with that name.
For soup, I believe it was Mulligutany (I obviously do not know how to spell it).

I'm one of those freaks who sees the things that are wrong in movies, tv shows, etc. I don't try to do it, I just pick up on them for some reason. For example, in the movie Anaconda, when the boat is sitting in front of a waterfall look closely and you'll see the waterfall is flowing up instead of down. Somebody spliced the film in backwards.
Anyway, where Seinfeld's concerned (my wife and I are both huge fans) this is more of an "I'd like to know if they did it on purpose". In "The Dinner Party" (episode 77) Jerry and Elaine are at the bakery to pick up a gift. While waiting, Jerry has a black and white cookie. When he gets it, he takes a bite of half black and half white at the top. As the scenes change, the white and black sides flip. Sometimes the black is on the left and sometimes it's on the right. The problem is the cookie is only frosted on one side and the first bite is the only one taken, so it has to be two different cookies in the different scenes. Was it planned or just an oops?

...and there lies a problem. How did Newman get Jambalaya at "The Soup Kitchen"? Jambalaya is not a soup. I guess they didn't research that one too much.

What I always found interesting is that this show had a strong Jewish influence. Many shows had some reference to something or someone Jewish so I was always surprised to see Jerry in German cars. I thought that someone would have given him pressure to not buy German given the holocaust or at least not drive them in the show.
At least he can forgive our German friends for their temporary insanity...

I was told by the Porsche sellsman in Pasadena when I bought my Porsche that he owns/owned every production model ever made.
And that he has a standing buy order with an undisclosed Porsche dealership to automaticly every year buy several un-named models!

Course the sellsman new I liked the "Seinfeld" show and he may have been feeding me a line?
If you look close during shows, you will see things around the his apartment that are Porsche related.

I guess this could be a bit of show trivia too, but I think Jerry's mother mentioned not wanting to drive a German car...Maybe the show where he bought his dad a Caddy???

Anyone?

He drove Saabs on the show, (never Porsches, right?)

Also, Jerry did 'make out' w/ a girl while watching 'Schindler's List'

OK, time to put the hammer down.
Name all eleven soups offered by the Soup Nazi.

Crab bisque and Jambalaya are two.

Edit: And I see the unique spelling for Mulligatawny.

 So, eight more.

Well I know for sure he drove a BMW. It was the show when the valet stunk up the car I think he also was driving a bimmer during the bubble boy episode.

And rbennett, you are right, you see a porsche poster in a few episodes.

			Hi,
Interesting replies so far. But, I am one of the 0.001% of the US Population which never saw a single episode. I've just never been a Fan of JS (Porschephile or not)...
