First you get a FOR SALE sign and sell your car ASAP!!
Please no donuts!

Mark_T 08-01-2013 02:02 PM

K, so here's the secret... you need to get another spare tire like the one in your front trunk, and put them both on the rear of the car. Now put in the clutch, put it in first gear, turn the wheel all the way to the left, then put the gas pedal to the floor and just hold it there. Don't worry, the rev limiter will prevent you from doing any damage to the engine. Now slip your foot sideways off the clutch so it pops up really hard, and hold on. When you hear a bang from the back, that will be the first level audible tire level warning indicator. When you hear the second bang it means you still have about 30 seconds left until the tire wear becomes serious. Enjoy!

Of course not. He thinks he's being funny. It's a good example of why you shouldn't post when you're 'faced.

woodsman 08-01-2013 03:39 PM

Porsche's are too fragile for that kind of fun. You'll brake things continuously.

Joe B 08-01-2013 03:42 PM

Sounds like this is a Squid!!!

woodsman 08-01-2013 03:48 PM

Do I hear a post about 'proper ways to drive a Porsche' in the offing?

trimer 08-01-2013 03:54 PM

I dont think he is asking what you guys think. He wants to know how to do Dougnuts ...which has nothing to do with cars. Find a dude name Doug and grab his nuts...that simple

oc-boxster 08-01-2013 04:10 PM

Ask Homer Simpson he loves Doug nuts

thom4782 08-01-2013 04:12 PM

Simple, actually...
  1. Get up and dressed by 8:00 am
  2. Go to garage
  3. Lower top and start car
  4. Drive directly to Dunkin Donuts while observing the rules of the road
  5. Order a dozen donuts of your choice along with a cup of java
  6. Place the box of donuts on passenger seat and the coffee in the cup holder
  7. Restart car
  8. Proceed to nearest interstate entrance
  9. Enter highway
  10. Drive 100+
  11. When smokey pulls you over, offer him or her a jelly filled donut
  12. Have one yourself along with a sip of coffee as smokey writes out the speeding ticket and gets ready to arrest you for the attempted bribe.

Now you've done donuts

Find an autocross school doing a skid pad test.

Chuck W. 08-01-2013 04:26 PM

Youtube... you can always find someone doing something dumb.... like donuts in a Boxster.

First you need LSD dude. Preferably a clutch-pack type for that.

Then it will go up for sale as "an adult driven vehicle, never abused or raced" Just make sure you get all the rubber off the bumper first.
In all seriousness, these cars aren't made for that type of pounding. Get a Camaro or Mustang if your primary goal is to drive the lips off it.

dbansal 08-01-2013 07:08 PM

Haha. Thanks for the fun responses. I got bored at work!!

reminds me of this
Juan Pablo Montoya playing BMW M5 - YouTube
Monaco Grand Prix winner JPM. But I think he was doing it more as a joke than being all serious like the pimply faced spikey hair guys that pull up to me at red lights wanting to race their STi

Empty parking lot in winter -- the boxster does donuts marvelously in the snow.

I've seen JD do donuts in his Boxster and it makes him drive much faster.

The drive up window at Krispy Kreme is a lot faster than going inside.

Jager,

To hell with cars and coffee. You've given me a new inspiration !

southernstar 08-02-2013 05:53 AM

Personally, I'd prefer 'Babes 'N Buns', or 'Bagles 'N Boobs', but you may be on to something!

southernstar 08-02-2013 06:05 AM

JD they are already have the T-shirts for your new chain:

Fat Mandi — Home

The heck with t-shirts, the possibilities are endless!

jb92563 08-02-2013 06:42 AM

Why do Dougnuts when you can be a spinner?

Go to your local auto-X and go into turn 1 way too fast, turn late and over correct hard and don't step on the brakes, viola you will have done a dougnut, but disguised as a spinout(racer lingo) at a perfectly acceptable venue and impressed all your Porsche peers...:o

And by the way Doughnut is the concatenation of Dough(Slang $$$$) - Nut (Crazy)
which is a clue to what happens when you do so in a Porsche

I think it's funny that someone who wants to "go fast" decides to do so by going around and around in circles, thus going nowhere... fast. ;)

Judging by the photo, some members would have to volunteer holding the donuts in place if the "babes" decided they wanted to drive.

agreed- any idea why nascar's so popular than?:barf:

bar10dah 08-02-2013 11:58 AM

You can go fast around a large circle. But you can't go fast by doing donuts. You'll look awful silly, fast. But you can't go fast. ;)

Ah here's on of the reasons why I just love to hang out here :-)
