17"wheels

I'm looking to change my wheels on a 2002 S. Tires are Brand new Michellin 17 stocks, most of the wheels I see that I like are 18's. Anyone using nice 17? Any suggestions.

Even a good selection of 18's are hard to find these days. Everyone wants 19 or 20.
I would sell the tires if they are nearly new and use the funds toward an 18".

I think the ~20lb Forgestar F14 in 18" are a good value.
This guy scored them for under $1,500 which has to be lowest amount paid for light weight wheel at that size.

WOW those are nice wheels perfectlap. Don't think I could get my money back on my Michellins right now. Don't even want to look at 19 or bigger. I live where the roads aren't the greatest. Happy with the tires I have but would like to change the look a bit. Thanks.

An extra inch of rubber certainly helps ride quality but I think it has more to do with the weight of the wheel. For instance I think the 18" OEM Porsche Turbo twists are about 30 lbs. Dropping 10 lbs. there and avoiding a heavy tire (a bigger factor than the wheel itself) is the best set up for ride quality and that can be done in 18" just as it can be managed with a 17" wheel.

You might want to contact the seller of these rims. I don't think they have sold.

No problem. It is tough to find good ones. It took me almost a year of looking to find a good set of Sport Classics. I had to send one set back because they were out of round more than I wanted to deal with. I ended up with a set of 18's but was also looking at the 17's. The set I linked to looks pretty good. Here is a shot of mine:

Definately a great improvement over the stock wheels I have now IMO. They really look nice on your car.

Thanks, I really am happy that I was patient. These were the wheels that I wanted all along. Love the look! Good luck with your search. Put a saved search on eBay for BBS Porsche to get daily updates.
