If it goes away when you turn left or right (thus loading the bearing and pushing it together sorta) then its a wheel bearing.

Just might be tire noise too. I have Primewell PZ900's that the dealer put on when I bought the car that have become unbearably loud in 10,000 miles. I thought it was a wheel bearing, then an axle, replaced two rear wheel bearings and regreased the axle with new boots with no change. Looking for a cheap set of tires now to put on.
