Paint job. Love it or hate it?
|
I saw that in the update email. While it's definitely not my taste, if the owner loves it then cool. Though I will say it needs the updated headlights, badly. ;)
|
Hideous....
|
I agree with shadrach. Hideous.
Nice RUF front bumper though. |

I'm guessing that's a photoshop anyway. Might even be the work of Jager !
|
I always say "Do what ever you like, its your car". But I can't say that I like this particular paint job.
|
My bad guys!
It's been in the body shop for over 3 weeks now. I call the guy every few days to see how he's getting on but no dice. All I get is 'need a few more days, just a couple more'. All this time it appears its been finished and He has been posting pictures all over the web. Well I'll be having words with him! Anyways be glad to see her back this weekend! |
let the haters hate (im one of them) but sick bumper tho!
|
What a shame.
|
For the love of all that is holy....WHY???!!!:barf:
|
FUGLY. There's no accounting for taste.
|

I'm sorry but it ranks up there with the Porsche go-cart that was floating around eBay a while ago.

A Boxster is not a 1965 VW Bug. Looks like the HotWheels division of Mattel got a hold of it. Great execution, but wrong car.

Actually, I like the go-cart a lot more than that blue flames/waves. |

Watched that thing tear it up at a drifting event here in St. Louis, and it looked like an absolute blast! |
That blue paint job is like an 11 year old's version of cool.
As for the dune buggy, it would mess up my hair too much. :p |
what you don't know is that this is Bam Bam Bigelow's car.
Who wants to tell him his car is ugly? Nice wheels though. Pricey.. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/i...7jftcTGYSwnuIs |

As for the paint travesty, why not also put the dangling curtain-ball trim around the windshield, upholster in faux-fur, hang fuzzy dice from the rear-view mirror and call yourself "Huggy Bear"? http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1366859757.jpg |
Kill it with fire.

Very nice! Im referring to the grey beetle...
|
Sorry, but even if the owner is happy with this...it is hideous!
|
Why.....
Aren't there a million other new and old VW's that they could defile in such a way... seems like a 996 would be a much better route. Being that the beetle is its pappy. Quote:
