Reupholster 1999 986 Savannah Beige Question
 

I have a 1999 Black Boxster with Savannah Beige interor and seats. My seats need reupholstering. I have looked at Leaterseats.com and GAHH leather kits. Both seem very nice… Has anyone with a Black and Savannah Beige intereor reupholstered their seats and if so, what manufacturer and color did you pick? Any chance you can post some pictures. I’m looking for ideas. Thought about black or a color close to the original Savannah Beige color. I appreciate the tips.

I did it
Went to leather hide supplier and got some hides
It's not perfect match but I like it better
Went with custom stitching too

I have a set of new covers I'm planning to post for sale cheap. Savannah beige look alike that's to far off for my taste and black perforated centers. All black stitching and Porsche logo in color embroidered in the headrest. I love how the seats look. But the color match to the savannah beige was to far off for me to live with. I'll get some pictures this weekend. The leather seems much nicer then the oem to me.

I was thinking of these from eBay for my winter/spring project. By summer I plan to have a third radiator installed along with a new water pump and low temperature thermostat.

What color did you end up going with?

I feel the Savannah Beige owner's pain. Very hard to match the exact color, and find products that are available in that color. It seems to discolor a lot for me, and gets dirty very fast. Looked at Savannah Beige GT3 seats, but for $3,000, well that's out of the question for me. :(
