Just a guess really because I've never looked at the part you show in the picture. And the guess is that the source of your leak may be elsewhere.

If you raise the convertible top lid, you'll see foam pieces on both sides of the car. In the middle of these pieces, there is a 'drain' hole about the size of a quarter. My guess is that the foam piece has a small tear on the side where water gets into the car. The opening lets water inside and it finds it way into the passenger compartment.

It's also possible that the drain hole is plugged with debris and allows water to back up into the same area but under the foam piece. Again, water then finds its way into the passenger compartment.
