Saw Heidi Today!

Couldn't take it anymore...so I wangled a ride for the 40 mile journey to where she is winter stored...haven't seen her since Oct 31! WOW...finally saw her in the corner with her brand new Ventus tires...ran my finger along her side...it felt so good...please pray for an early spring so we can once again be reunited in mid April...:dance:http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1360804147.jpg

I know the feeling. LOL.

But, you really need a car cover, if you truely loved her. That's just wrong on sooooooo many levels.

I think the cold is getting to your head. :)

What's up with all the other aero beetles and mid engine mobiles? Porsche club guest housing?

I hope they have a skinny kid working there to get in the cars out without banging the doors together. Spring is almost here.

I think it's like one of those slidey square puzzles; first slide that one, then this one . . .

Am I supposed to be using a car cover when the boxster is in the garage?

Sure, if the car is clean (must be clean), and you don't plan to drive for several days or a few weeks. For sure during winter hibernation.

But for a daily driver, or a dirty car, no reason to cover.

Perfectlap 02-14-2013 02:04 PM

car covers are only for major league type A people with a solid case of OCD.
Anyone else will end up doing more damage than good with a car cover since most will not clean the car immediately before covering it.
And honestly modern paints are pretty durable. if you want to protect the interior from sun damage get one those covers that only covers the softop and leaves the paint untouched. But even that is somewhat overkill since most garages are dark. Car covers are really for people who park cars long term. Which is not good for these cars.

There is no hope for you and your fellow P car owners in that storage place. That place looks like a garage queen factory.:eek:

What do you drive in winter?

If I lived in your area I would give you a ride in my Boxster during the winter. Believe it or not these cars function very well in winter with snow tires......:):)
