No, but one time I tried to drive an old Ford 50, or 100 (or some pathetic number). I thought it was an "automatic" but it was really a "three on the tree." You could imagine my confusion...

Actually, the more I remember it wasn't the steering lock you had to disengage, it was the park lockout you had to engage to get the starter to energize. Ah, those were the days
