Cool maxxybe

Convertible roof warning light wont go out.Can anyone tell me how or from where this light is controlled,I'm recommissioning my 2004 boxster after a three year spell of the road and have a few problems to iron out.

assuming you know that you need to keep the top switch pressed for another couple of seconds when closing or opening it, you probably have a faulty micro switch.
the switch is located on the center of the windshield, where the latch tab is going.
use your finger to press it. the windows should go up when pressed and drop down when released. if it doesn't do that you will have to replace the switch.
very common issue.

+1 to Meir.

I've replaced my top microswitch twice. $40 and 10 mins to replace. Part number is 986-613-795-02, search around for the best price.

roof warning light

The roof opens and closes properly with no problems except for the warning light.With window operation as normal but i will check the microswitch on Saterday provided we dont get snow.

You need to keep the swith pushed until the roof comes to a complete stop. It will close and come back a little bit if you keep the swith pushed. If you don't the light will stay on

Cool

I opened the top up and closed it again and the light went out thanks for all the advice i now know my way round tha top a bit better
