Need help with exhaust!

I have an after market exhaust system on my car that was on it when I bought it. The sound is just too loud for my taste. Any ideas what the best and cheapest way is to get this back to a standard system and sound??

Thanks.

Try to purchase one off of someone's car that just put exhaust on their car... Keep your eye out on the forum as they do pop up for sale every so often. How loud is it ? Is it loud at certain RPM's ? Maybe you have a leak making it louder...

The first step is to determine exactly what has been done to the car... There are several different mods that can be done to the exhaust. Before you start shopping, might a good idea to know what you're shopping for.

exhaust

Why don't you take a picture to see what you have.

I have my cars in Worcester, MA.

I have a complete exhaust from a Boxster if you want to stop by and do a swap.

Let me know. I will be happy to help. F.

The muffler is the main determiner of exhaust tone & volume. To insure no resonance drone you must install a oem Porsche muffler.

Exhaust

Where are you located in CT? I'm in the north central part and have done several different exhaust systems on 986s. Be glad to help.
