Check the Zaino site. I think they still recommend a first time wash with Dawn to get all of the wax off the car. Then (optional) clay the car. Apply Z1. Then, a couple of coats or so of Z5 until you're satisfied the swirl marks have been "chased away." Then, hit it with a coat or 2 or Z2 to make the shine super deep. Finish up with Z6 and it will sparkle. I've never used Z8.

I have done this to my daily driver, a black Miata. It shines, shines, shines. The Box got the same treatment, sans Z5.

I've used Zaino for about 5 years and gotten about a billion compliments.
