Replacing 'rubber lips' aka 'floor trim seal'

Has anyone here replaced the "rubber lips" in front of the rear wheels. Below are the part numbers from Auto Atlanta. It looks like they just press in with four rubber fittings. I want to know if this can be done without removing the plastic cover into which they mount. Mine each have one or more torn fittings.

My experience was different. I tried to press them in. No luck. I tried a second time to press them in after using soapy water to lubricate them. Again, no luck. I ended up removing the piece they fit into and used pliers to pull the plugs through the holes.

I would be interested, how much do you want? BTW, why do you have a new set of these lying around? My car is a 2000 986, don't know if you have parts for the 987 or if they are different.
