This sounds like you could have a problem where the engine is in limp home mode.
"986 S problem at idle, engine won't rev and shakes, battery disconnected"
The above post from earlier this year (do a search) which turned out to be bad fuel and / or setting the engine ECU with less than 30% full fuel tank.
