Unbelievable Photo of Crashed Boxster- Not for the Faint of Heart

I was searching the net for a photo of the interior foot well light so I know where to place mine when I stumbled across this photo. I always like learning from other's mistakes. I believe that this driver may have made a life altering (or ending) mistake. Sad stuff.

Ugg - Hope there was no passenger and the driver made it out and recovered. The Oak-Tree'er usually wins.

ouch. Seen that one once before too. I believe the caption read that neither the driver or passenger survived.

That is probably the weakest spot on the Boxster to hit a light pole. DON’T GO SIDEWAYS AT 100 MPH INTO A LIGHT POLE!

Yikes!

It looks like it was also well-optioned, too. I see a red sunvisor, likely leather-covered.

well the airbag worked.

concrete pillar?? Short of an M1 tank I'm not sure anything would have done better --WHEN SPEEDING.

I no longer drive fast in dry conditions and I certainly observe the limit when its raining or scrubb off another 5-10 mph. If I want to go fast I go to the autcross/track. The car is for feedback and enjoying tight handling not for passing everything else on the road.
