Lug Nuts Rusting Alot More In Front

Does anyone notice their lug nuts rusting about twice as fast on their front wheels then their rear? Does anyone know where I can get a set of lug nuts for a good price to replace my rusting ones?

Yes, most of the lug rusting on my Porsches start in the front.

I only know that dealer lugs are expensive and that Porsche knows that these lugs are prone to rusting.

My dealer will replace them under warranty. After warranty, no go.

blinkwatt, did you look for lug bolts on E-bay? I suspect the fronts rust quicker because they get more brake dust build-up, and that's a contributing factor.

I noticed my lugs were rusting badly. It was a terrible eye sore. I went to walmart and got a can of high temp primer, one can of rustoleum tinned metal paint, roll of 1" masking tape, and small metal wire brush. It was a time consuming project but I was able to clean the inside of my wheels while they were off. The finish is very nice and cost approx. $9 to complete. Compared to the costly expense of a new set.

....and the finish will last much longer than a new set of lugs.
