If it makes you feel any better, I've got north of 40k sunk into my 97 boxster, worth no more than $9,500 to someone who would probably turn it into a spec box.
If I never sell it, I do not have to realize the loss.
I just need to raise enough money to raise the boxster in the garage on a lift so I can park a newer Porsche under it for my DD
