Well looks like the process isnt well explained...
BUT you have to:
-remove the front right wheel
-remove the wheel well liner
-remove the EVAP canister
-and the actuator is sitting tucked away in the back held in by two T20 screws

Thanks H, I have gotten down to the cannister and am ready to remove it and hopefully will be able to get to it then. I appreciate your help If you ever find yourself in the mountains of north carolina, we always have a spare bedroom and the best porsche roads anywhere. bob

Hey guys, Thanks to the diagrams and info everyone shared with me, I have found that it is relatively easy to change a broken manual gas door release without any dissasembly at all. Don't have any pics, buy all that is required is a 2 foot piece of stiff wire. If anyone needs step by step info feel free to call me anytime. thanks again bob 828 385 3100
