Car Alarm Going Off For No Reason???

I just bought a used 1998 Porsche Boxster a couple of days ago and the Car Alarm went off today for no apparent reason.

Any ideas why such a thing would happen?

May be the alarm wire that is used with the stock radio is shorting to ground thus triggering the "someone is stealing the radio" alarm.
