US "Bumper pads"

Hi there!

Fist of all a big "hello" from my side as a newby. Coming from the "old continent" -living in Switzerland, being German (home of our favourite toy ;-) - I have a question:

The Us Boxster versions are equiped with these two bumper-pads beside the plates. Can you tell me where I can get them and how much they cost ?

Markus

Smile Bumper pads

These can not simply be added to the bumper. The pads bolt to an aliminum brace that is welded onto the bumper under the bumper cover.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I thought that they were "sticked" to the bumpers....

Talking They are called....

In the US I think they call these things "bumperettes."

Ein komisches Wort.

I wish I could get rid of my bumperettes!!! I really like the Euro version without them, but would need to change out the entire rear bumper to make the change.
Too bad we cant somehow just swap bumpers! Mine is Silver...

Talking RE: Gruezi

Hi Markus,

I am from Germany too, born in Munich.

You can post pictures in the Show and Tell section of the forums here. We'd love to see your car.

I kind of like the bumperettes on the Boxster. I did not really notice how that is on Boxsters in Europe when I was there several months ago. Your picture will be a welcome addition to the gallery.

Ciao.

EDIT: Took a shot of this Boxster in Germany, now I remember what the bumperetteless ones look like. Sorry about the blurry image.

Thumbs up Hey mx33!

Excellent shot of the rear end on your Boxster. Love these cars in black too, would have been my other choice but the used one I bought happened to be AS.

Nice looking car markus. I am not sure if I have a preference to bumperettes or not -- I like them both!!!!
