Could it be that bolt G is used on a Tiptronic transmission?
IIRC, Wayne's project car for most of these tech articles was a tip.

The engineers probably discovered that it caused a stress riser in the engine or tranny castings and omitted it to save it from cracking/failure.

I would not install that if it is truly an omitted part.

Need to get an official answer on that from Porsche just to be sure.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, else it WILL break.

I wonder if it was omitted by someone earlier who found it hard to install it and decided to omit it as there were many other bolts. I myself struggled with that bolt removal and reinstall and ended up not torquing it but just as tight as I could.

Actually, that bolt would be one of the easier once to access. And, the transmission on my car had never been out.

I'm still betting that it's used on the Tiptronic transmission.
