This always sounds tough but as a CCW holder and owner of several weapons what good would it do in this scenario? You going to pull your piece and sight some guy in and shout stop? What if he calls that bluff you ready to go take a life long sit to prove a point? You don't draw a pistol unless you are ready to kill with it, period.

In NY use deadly force when not confronted with same and you go to jail not the dickheads, frankly pepper spray would be better to have, right up under the helmet but even that would be assault if they got your plate. I'd hunt these Frucks like a sixteen pointer, plan my revenge and serve it. AND I'd hit them right where they tried to hit you, on their prized saw horses, they are lucky this wasn't me for real.

There are dirt bags everywhere, no getting around it. Knock on wood, I've had no problems here in NE Ohio yet...we'll see how long my luck lasts. My kid, on the other hand, has a 2000 Celica GTS that's largely stripped down for track use (though he uses it some day to day as well)---a very unassuming looking car, silver in color, no bling to call attention to itself. He had his keyed by some a-hole a year or two back. Boy was he PO'd and you can't blame him. He's just startin' out, doesn't have a lot of money, carries fairly minimal insurance.

Driving the Box not too long ago (top-down) I was stopped at a light on a four-lane road. Guy on a Harley pulls up next to me, pretty 'biker' lookin', and I expected him to give me some crap about what I'm drivin', this semi-exotic German-built machine, thinking hard about what my reaction's gonna be. He surprised me:

"Nice car," he says with obvious conviction.
"Uh..thanks! I'm lovin' it," I respond and we go our separate ways.

People are hard to figure...

One thing that I see a lot on this forum is prejudice towards other types of drivers. Don't let a small group of idiots define a whole group of people. Just because these punk kids were riding bikes doesn't mean all bikers are bad. Same thing goes with ricer rockets. I'd still consider myself a ricer rocket every time I get in my WRX.

.
I know when to pull a weapon to use it, I have experience with that.

Get out of a car wearing a .45 and you don't have to pull it or show it to get a positive reaction.

Bull****************, pull it on the wrong dude someday and you will be the tap dancer. Even if you shot a round into the ground and ended the conflict, your carry days would be over in NY. If mine comes out of the holster the negotiating is over and the killing is going to begin. Real life isn't Hollywood, pistols are not made for intimidation they are for killing. If I had my .45 on me and the same thing happened that happened to Pwave, I would have stayed cool and done exactly what he did. Now if one of them threatened me with equal deadly force, then it's game on but as the "johnny danger" of real life once said to me. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day.
