No photos, however, I did enjoy the fact that the destination was the feild house. Jock central, there were many envious stares!

That beats my experience in HS: Three male band members, two tubas, three trombones, and five trumpets riding to the field house crammed in a 1966 VW.

"this one time, at band camp.... " ;)

Had a slight vibration in the steering wheel from 60 mph+
Took it in and got the front wheels Road Force balanced Vibration gone. Well worth the $30 it cost |
The other day I installed some carbon fiber covers (you can see some in the pic) When I bought my Boxster the cig lighter was missing. I don't smoke, but I didn't like having the open hole in the dash. I bought a lighter from another member here, but I also order a tow hook cap hoping it would fit the hole. It's a perfect fit and looks pretty good to me!
http://i60.tinypic.com/5etj6q.jpg Oh and my 987 air box came in today. Car goes in the body shop Monday, but I'll be working on the air box to make it fit while I wait to get the car back. . |

Great shots! |
Replaced my headlight switch. I had to drive home from our PCA dinner this month with the dimmer stalk pulled to bright and been limited to daylight driving since then.

Started off washing the car - Ended up making some new exhaust tips and polishing the muffler! And - I then covered up my peeling armrests with leather!
I also spent time trying to identify a squeak from behind me - ended up it was only the passenger seat headrest pushed up against the roll bar! duh!http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1422754122.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1422754171.jpg Then I took the dog for a drive & walkies! |
I picked up a rear storage box and installed new speakers today.

I just got back from a week of skiing in Salt Lake City. All I have done is see my car after a week away.

I installed the PORSCHE trunk emblem, along with the targa switch for the garage door opener and the wiper delay.
But my convertible top motor is dead :( http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1422907187.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1422907203.jpg |

It looks very happy, lol :D |
Yes, I tried to install it "parallel" with the trunk shape :)

First, I installed new rear speaker brackets from Euro Motorspeed. I inquired wether or not they would sell me just the brackets from their kit. I spoke with Loi and two days later they arrived! I have to say, the brackets are excellent quality! When I replaced the stock speakers with 3.5" Pioneer speakers, I enlarged the holes in the stock plastic bracket and to be honest, I just was not happy with the way it looked, even if I am the only one who saw it. The Euro Motorspeed brackets are metal and fit perfectly. If you are contemplating replacing your stock speakers, this is the way to go IMO.
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423325715.jpg You can see the difference between modified stock and the new one: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423325741.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423325756.jpg Next I installed the SkyBreaker from Fred! I used a fuse tap to power it. Again, excellent craftsmanship from Fred:cheers: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423326015.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423326032.jpg |
Bumper Vent Grille
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423338446.jpg
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423338463.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1423338473.jpg Pulled front bumper and cleaned all debri. I could not believe the crap that gets in there. Our vents are like a big vac cleaner, pulled cig butts and tumble weeds and plain dust dirt. Even between the radiator and condensor there was crap and alot of it. To further protect filtration I fabbed these up from rain gutter plastic. they come 6in wide by about 6ft. IT took me about 45 min to do. Less than $5 a roll of this stuff so very cost effective. Cut out cardboard shape then trace over to mesh. I fastened to hoirzontal grids with bobby pins! Step back ten feet and it passes my visual. be sure to blow out the radiators with compressed air too. |
