I spent the last week driving a triple black convertible in the LA beach area,,, too bad it was a rental Mustang. As far as the Boxster, I pushed the snowblower past it when I got home to clear the 4-5" of snow from storms when I was gone.
I am ready for Spring!! |
Washed, waxed and took the Box for a spirited drive with the top down, Finally!

I missed out...still working on my headlights :( |
I finally got the GT3Tek mounted after its been sitting in the garage painted for almost 3 months... took less than 45min to mount and fits like a glove!
I think I like it :D http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1364861512.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1364861532.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1364861546.jpg |
Heiko - That looks great! I am getting mine back from the paint shop this week and plan to install it soon. Your pics have pushed it higher on my list!

Of course here in Florida, I had a pleasant drive to work...top down of course |
Well, I finally got the Boxster out of hibernation today. It doesn't really feel like Spring yet and there is still snow on the ground, but the roads are clear and I couldn't wait any longer!
I just installed the 'turbo style' side vents and I really like how they mimic the horizontal bar in the AerokitII front bumper openings. When it warms up a little, I will install the GT3Tek rear diffuser I bought a few months ago,,, just got it from the bodyshop today and it looks great. 'Permagrin' is back! :) http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1364948459.jpg |
So many nice cars here! I just drove around today with a car that is in need of a goooood clean up!!
Heiiko, that piece looks gooooooooood. |
Changed left front radiator hoses. Top and bottom. Front and back. You need more than that special spring clip tool (although it is very helpful). It's a bit too big to fit in some of the tighter spots. I found long long handled pliers with an 'L' shaped or curved bite worked when the spring clip remover didn't fit.
Right front already done. |
Thanks AndyA6... I am very happy with the way it looks :D

Drove it the 50 miles out to Fontana Speedway. 1st time out on the freeway with light traffic since the new intake system & DME remap. WOW the 3.6L likes what I've done, seems to get smoother the more miles I put on it. Beautiful day, put the top down later. Just when I thought this car could not get any funner it has! :)

Finally installed new clear side marker lights...wow nice, don't know why I waited so long. Also did the DIY leather wrapped armrests.

Showed my Boxster at the California Festival of Speed. Had a great time there.
