Gotcha. I want the CarPlay by trying to see if anyone has experience with it because it’s expensive (I.E., $400-$500) which is the cost of a new iPhone pretty much.

Disabled the battery killing LED on the radio today. Took a few tries but figured it out.

oil change, brake fluid flush, alignment. got a ten-day vacation (road trip) coming up - three tracks, four track days. Castrol Raceway in Edmonton Alberta with Track Junkies, then Gimli Motorsports Park in Manitoba for time attack with WSCC, then over to Area 27 in BC for a session and finally back to Castrol (if i have any tires left).

Put a for sale sign on it....

Designed, machined, and installed home made rear subframe connector on my 986s and my buddy’s 987s. Based on Pedro’s techno brace.

Dropped stabilizer bar bushings to lower stabilizer bar, unbolted midpipes from headers, and placed and bolted subframe bar. On buddy’s 987s exhaust doesn’t need moving to fit bar and the install on his car took maybe 15 minutes.

So do you really notice any difference in stiffness?

Today I finally got my hardtop removed for the summer. We moved in April, finally had the garage painted inside last week, was able to install my wall rack for the hardtop and had a friend come over and got the hardtop off and on the wall for the summer. Tomorrow I will swap my 17 inch wheels for my 18 inch wheels and install the Brey Krause roll bar extension. Wednesday I'll bring it in for an oil change, brake fluid flush and tech inspection for the NE Region Mont Tremblant HPDE on July 6-8.

Owned almost 10 years, all amazing. I purchased a neighbors 2003 911 Cabriolet.

Not yet, haven’t been able to push it hard enough. Debatable if it makes any difference. Some claim it does, others claim it doesn’t. Something to do for $30 bucks of aluminum and a few minutes.

My first oil change on the Boxster
 

Did my first oil change on the Boxster today. All went well until I started refilling with the new oil. After pouring a few litres in I had a look underneath and oil was dripping almost directly below the filling inlet in the boot. I got under and it was coming from a tube about 1/2 "which I think probably could be an overflow. Anyone had this happen to them ?

Cut open the old filter to check for metal fragments, clean as a whistle !

I cleaned my MAF sensor. That was the first time I had it in service mode. That was kinda damn hard. It is an 01 with a glass window and it seemed like I could not get it to go up far enough to make more room. I also put it on jack stands to look underneath. I smell exhaust sometimes on start up and wanted to see if I could see anything loose or looking out of place. I could not really see anything.

Forget to add, Friday night I plasti dipped my headlight wiring that was all cracked out and reinstalled the LED low beams. I like them a lot better than the halogens. They provide a great amount of light.

Most likely a cracked oil fill tube. Common problem.

There are only 2 oil tubes that run from the "boot" to the engine. One is the big 2" filler tube and the other is the dipstick tube. Both are plastic and both tend to get very brittle. There's no overflow for oil, btw. I've worked on my engine and had both tubes break from age. Not expensive, but not real easy to replace.:ah:

That looks fantastic. I am long overdue to do the same. After I finally removed my hardtop I realized I forgot to connect the soft top rear defroster. When I did the receptacle in the interior panel unsnapped from its little plastic clip and wouldn't go back in. So I took the panel out and used a small zip tie to keep it in place. The zip tie was a little too big so I used a utilty knife to trim it on top just a bit so that the hardtop and soft top plug can go in and out easier. I cut the end of the zip tie off after I took these pictures.
