Sourcing an 03 top assembly & top

I've just about had it with my 97s rag top and mechanism. I'm ready to upgrade to an 03 mechanism so I can have full access to the engine compartment.

In other words, I'd rather not go with a retrofit glass window replacement.

If any of you have done this, where did you find it... and what did you pay? Just wondering.

OK Foreign had one last month. $1100 I think. I chose a new GAHH top instead.

I searched the car-part.com for about a year before I found one for $1k shipped.
Mine came from the Weber Bro Auto if I remember correctly.

Now if I can only sell my original to some one....

I bought mine off ebay for around $550 plus $200 shipping. When it arrived, I discovered one of the supports was broken in two. A generous list member provided a replacement part from a junked top and I am good to go.

Here is my 2004 top on my 2002 Boxster right after installing it in Spring 2011 (before new wheels and aftermarket rear spoiler). It is the best mod ever!
I found it on Ebay for $900 from a guy modifying his car for track use.
