Puked my coolant today.

I know this is an old topic and it has been discussed plenty of times before. I was out for a bit today and when I pulled in my drive way I shut the car down and then she puked. I'm guessing it's the cap. My car is a 99 and has never had a newer cap put on. I ordered the cap and a new tank. I figured it was time for both. There was no coolant in the trunk but the cap was pissing and hissing. I hate as my car is getting older things are starting to happen. I'm just venting really. Sorry. On the other hand my friend and forum member Bala lent me a custom sub that came with his car when he purchased it. It sounds F(**& great! I had a amp and all already in the car from my last subwoofer setup that I had. I do not want a slamming, bumping stereo but I am a DJ and appreciate quality full sound. The car HITS! Love it. Now to get my wife to be ok with the tiny bit less leg room on one side. Pics to come. New exhaust is coming on Tuesday too. I am trying to keep my self into this car as I have never owned a car this long. Also rear diffuser is getting painted on Thursday. Pics for all to come and sound clips.

Again sorry for my blog style post. I guess this is what happens when I manage to get a weekend night off. Time for a beer.

Try the cap first, the tank is a PITA with the motor in the car.

I'll put a cap on tomorrow and see what happens.

JAAY.

a PITA for sure.. but it's the old story.. a $15 dollar replacement cap changed earlier would have prevented the stress and aggro !

we all do it; putting off those little, niggly things and then regret that we didnt do it when they cause a problem.

its no biggie.. look at it this way.. it's just caused the need to do a coolant replacement, which is a 5 year item anyway.
