Durametric in New York

I am currently flummoxed by a mystery noise coming from the front of my left-side cylinder bank after an IMS bearing replacement.

Is there a shop in New York City area that will, for a fixed fee, hook me up to a durametric or PIWIS type machine to check my cam deviation and see if there are any codes that didn't light up my CEL?

This problem is really making me crazy, I don't mind paying to get it found and taken care of, but I am really reluctant to take my car to any shop with an open-ended "just fix it", as the one time I did this years ago it wound up being over $1500 and they didn't fix the problem, (turned out to be a bad spark plug wire that I replaced for $25).
