Hail.......
Boxster got caught in a hail storm. Ping pong ball size but much heavier that ping pongs....
130 dents. $2000 for paintless dent removal. Thank god for insurance.
Worst of all, i got to watch it happen from the house.

i feel your pain, though my damage was a little less than $700. the worst part wasn't the hit to the wallet, it was having to listen and watch as the car got pummeled and not being able to do anything about it and (since i was in hotel's open parking lot) listening to the people comment "glad that's not my car."

Yeah.... My girlfriend said "quick...go move it under a tree." Yeah. They would have been taking me to the hospital with 130 contusions!!!!

On June 1, 2011 we had one of the worst hail storms in local history. Baseball sized hail. My boxster was in the garage but I got to sit and watch the hail destroy my new F150 truck. It also got all the patio furniture, my roof and did some other really weird damage. A girl around the corner from me tried to run out and move her car. Big mistake. She ended up in the hospital with some serious lacerations on her head. Surprisingly I didn't have any windows broken. I saved 4 hail stones in a ziplock bag in the freezer. All the roofers in the small town I live in drive $50k trucks.... hummmm???

$2300 for me from hail, but didn't want to pay the deductible on mine, so I left it alone. It's not a show car anyway.

You probably have the most aerodynamic Boxster on the forum. Dimpled just like a golf ball is, to reduce drag.

All fixed! Gotta admit, it looks perfect. Not even scratches on the inside of panels. I saved $70 by removing and reinstalling the headlights and taillights. (I was also worried about a non-Porsche person reinstalling the headlights). He fixed a single door ding on my other car and I actually came out ahead by a few $s.
