Any tips for installing a spoiler sticker?

I'm about to install a spoiler sticker on my car. Can anyone offer any tips to make sure it looks right?
Thanks.

I had one made for my spoiler but I screwed up putting it on so had to peel it all off. The bad thing is that the spoiler is curved so you have to put each letter on individually and it's hard to fit and not make crooked. I'll have to wait to spend another $10 next time I want to take a stab at it.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

Measure and tape off where you want to put it(this will help make it not be crooked) with masking tape.
Use soapy water(this lets you move the decal around without it sticking) to put it inside the taped area and squeegee the water from underneith the decal.

What I did was to trim most of the paper backing off the bottom of the decal. Then, I used sissors to cut each letter from the top of the sticker down to about a quarter of an inch from the bottom (I didn't cut them all apart, I just cut the top into many squares attached at the bottom so I could curve the whole thing as I taped it down).

Then I measured carefully, taped the top of the backing for each letter in place, as well as the bottom and then pulled the backing off each letter at a time to lay it down.

I think it turned out great, but it was a real white knuckle affair. Wish I'd have known about the soapy water! That wasn't in the instructions at all!
