Differences between base ans S suspension?

What are the technical specs of the base and S suspensions?

I have an 03 S and was wondering if the ride height is lower than the base Boxster. If so, how much lower?

There's no difference between the struts and springs from a base to an S.
The differences are whether the car was equipped with M030 or not.
The M030 (US) package lowers the car about 1/.2". The RoW package about 1".
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Thanks for the reply Pedro!

What's the best way to find out if my S has the M030 suspension or not?

What about from model year to model year?

From what I understand, the 03 Boxster has the same suspension as the 02 S, but not the same as the 02 base?

In my case, I have an 02 base, would 03 S suspension (namely just the rear struts) work on my car?

CB-Racing, 986 Suspension Info

I believe there is a difference in the springs and sways between the S and non-S cars. Mostly compensating for the weight difference, I would guess.

The color bands on the coil springs will tell you which springs are on the car.

Ya I recall my Bentley book tells what the colors mean for each year and 'S' or Non'S'. They may be the same as Pedro says but they do code them.
