heat shield solution...
My heat shields rattle. I've been under the car with a mallet and they are definitely loose. Porsche dealership just wanted to remove them, however they are not far from the axle boots and I could see the excess heat shortening the life of the rubber.
I was thinking of wrapping the exhaust with insulating tape (ala motorcycle and aviation). I don't know whether to remove the shields and add tape or secure the shields with wrap. Anyone ever found a solution.
The car sounds like $hit when it's cold, but quiets down a bit after the pipes heat up and expand...
