This is one I missed, should'a taken pics. Perhaps this will illustrate: I opened the FOB and found one of the tactile microswitches loose inside. If you open a FOB, there should be two very small switcheds located immediately below where you press.

To determine if there was further damage, I placed the switch between the two solder points and tested it by pushing down on the switch. The remote still worked so I carefully--take your time-- soldered the switch back in. The trick is to NOT overheat. Get a small amount of solder on the point of the iron, touch it to the connection and get out....Once one end was secured, the other end was easy.
