Was able to hack my Motronic today, may the remapping begin

Better backup that data first.
Are you able to write to the maps yet?
I guess from that jumble you will still have to figure out where everything is stored.
Do you have a reference of some kind to go by or do you have to reverse engineer it?

Yes it’s backed up; yes I can write to the map, yes reverse engineering is in the works.

Kashmir, what exactly is your exigence for mapping the motronic? I am quite interested in your project and wish you the best of luck. As a member of the boxster enthusiasts, you are free to borrow a durametric if the need arises. Good luck!

I'm also a computer wiz but hacking hex code has never been something I have really had a chance to do.
I'm interested in your work so keep us updated on this thread, wish I could help in some way.
I suppose once you figure out the structure and function you can wrap it all up into a program that lets folks do their own tweaks, like the race tuners.
I wonder how they do it or do they replace the Engine Control Unit with something custom that has be developed for tuning?
