Polar Silver
Is Polar silver typically a harder color to sell for Boxsters?

Was Polar Silver ever an option? I know there are Arctic Silver Boxsters are all over the place (including mine), but I'm not sure I've seen one in PS.
FWIW, Polar Silver has a touch of blue in it that AS does not.
PS paint code is L92M; AS paint code is L92U

Thanks, I have found a few that color... Porsche has always been willing to paint any color you like for the right amount of cash.
I was just wondering if this would be a hard color to resell. I am looking at some 00-01's and plan on driving it for a year or two. If I like it, I'll sell it and get a newer one and if I just love it and am happy with it, then I just flat out keep it and upgrade my sedan instead.
Driven plenty, just never owned one...
Thanks for the input so far.

Not really.. usually a rare or a option color thats the one they look for just the reason to be different from the rest... Im sure you'll be happy with a Porsche... it separate you from the rest of the luxury car.

From what I have seen polar silver on other vehicles (996 TT, 993's,etc), they usu get sold really quick here in Cali. I personally love that color, but I have never seen one on a 986 before.
Care to post some pics of the vehicle you are looking at?

A polar silver car should be just as easy to sell as a stock/standard silver car. Beware pink or purple or something similarly unique but silver (of most any shade) is always a favorite because it hides dirt so well.

Looks too brown in that light. But the differences are too subtle to catch unless you had a picture of a Polar and an Artic car sitting next to one another.
FWIW, Polar Silver is more blue, GT Silver Metallic is more brown, and Artic Silver more neutral and in between them. I love my GT Silver, but would never willingly pay $3200 or so extra for it. (It came for free in the 550 SE models.

This is meridian...another favorite of mine. As mentioned before, polar silver has a bluish tint to it.

You know, I think you guys are right and yeah I love meridian a lot more and it was a lot more common for Porsche in the early 2000's.
Thanks for the comment on my race car. It's a NASA ST2 C6 Corvette. Won the first two race this year so we are off to a good start! :-)
