If you have painted alloys, the repair is farily straightforward IF YOU GET THE RIGHT GUY!

You want to use the technique where they slightly buff/grind the edge of the rim all the way around the wheel; they then paint it to match.

You DO NOT want anyone who is going to use filler or bondo on the rim.

Make sense?

Very true, the guy usually is a mobile guy that should come to you. He can take care of this pretty quickly, and they will look brand new!

wheel repair recommendation

I've used KwickSilver Wheel Pros in San Francisco, CA they specialize in high end rims for Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc. They do a lot of custom work. "Fuhrius" got his $5000 Kinesis wheels fixed there too. Let me know if you want their information.
