TRUNK WONT release with FOB

help please my trunk will not open with my FOB it opens fine with the cable its a 2000 boxster 2.7 i have taken the acutator out if the trunk put a power source to it and it functions properly i have searched online for a relay and or fuse found no info , i have traced the wires down the back firewall and im at a standstill .. any help much apprecitated and yes my key does blink in response to the dash l.e.d.

Possibly the button in the fob itself. They have a history of failing. Does the fob led light up when pressed?

yes it does light up red led and when i press it the dash led also blinks rapidly
